Humongous Teeth

The word humongous is a little weird. But, it perfectly describes Cedrik's adult...I mean baby teeth.

We've been wondering for quite awhile where his teeth were. His bottom two came in around Christmas (we think) and the other's have just been waiting. We now know why. They are humongous. He is going to be our Bugs Bunny. He smacks his gums and loves carrot juice. One day soon he'll have no way to hide them and the pictures will be plastered on this blog. Until then, here is our attempt at getting a picture of his two top teeth:

Zoo Boise

Cedrik and I went to the Zoo. Jordan had to work and it was discount day. He seemed to like the animals...kind of. His favorite thing to watch were all the kids running around. He did, however, like the monkeys, penguins and he especially liked the colorful pheasant. That was the highlight of the zoo for him.

A Weekend of Firsts

This past weekend was Mother's Day and my Mom's 50th birthday. Jordan and I had been planning, along with my Dad for the past few months, to surprise her and drive to Colorado for the weekend. She had no idea. We were going to make it a quick weekend and leave Friday and drive back home Monday. But things worked out with Jordan's work schedule (a first!) and we were able to leave on Thursday...at 3am. It actually worked out quite well, Jordan didn't even need any caffeine! Cedrik was perfect. He didn't scream or cry one time, on the way there or on the way home! We had such a fun trip.

BEWARE: There are lots of photos.

Some of Cedrik's firsts from the weekend
Splinters in his hands
Splinters in his feet
Played with tractors
Got VERY dirty
Crawled in grass
Walked in grass
Tried to eat grass
Choked...on peaches (not fun at all)
Played catch with Grandpa
Crawled under Mom's SUV (didn't get stuck)
Had someone to play with at 6am (grandparents are great!)

 Mom's cake frosting...from scratch
 German Chocolate Cake

The weather was perfect and it was a great three day vacation!

Walks are Fun!

When a walk begins with a beetle, you know it's going to be a good walk:

After our walk we went to find some grass for Cedrik to feel. Cedrik had never felt it before. I thought he would like the texture of it. Nope. He didn't like it. He held one foot basically off the ground and didn't touch it with his hands. When he had had more than enough he grabbed his shoe and tried to put it on his foot. We'll have to try again another day.

Beans

I had a stuffed dog when I was younger. This dog was called Beans. He has those little rice things in his paws....but when I was little, I thought they were beans; hence, the name. Once I found out they were those rice pellets, I didn't think he could be washed because the rice would get soggy, etc. Well, I had thought this for over 10 years. We found him less than a week after Cedrik was born and Jordan and my Mom informed me that those rice pellet things were plastic. Nothing like a good kick to the ego when you're hormonal and a new mom. :)

We washed him and he's become Cedrik's best friend:
