Sticky Fredward

He is so funny. I'm pretty sure he's going through a growth spurt-he seems taller and older every day. He really wants to "grow up and become a mom so he can make eggs." Jordan and I are seriously excited for him to take over cooking duties. He loves food so much, it will always taste amazing. As you can see, he loves stickers too. He dresses himself and really doesn't care if things are on correctly. I'm not going to post the underwear picture from the other night...

Cedrik Elder Henstrom Porter

We get the great opportunity to feed dinner to the missionaries that serve in our ward.  We haven't fed any since our last ward so it was nice to have them over.

Elder Henstrom (the one with yellow hair, Cedrik says) has been so personable with the boys.  They love him and he must love them too.  Today, he gave Cedrik one of his missionary badges and Cedrik beamed all afternoon.  We had them come over for dessert tonight because Elder Henstrom is getting transferred to another area tomorrow and Cedrik made him a thank you note and paraded around with his badge all night. On the thank you note, Cedrik drew the two of them, with badges on and Cedrik said he wrote "Cedrik Elder Henstrom Porter" on his own badge. We're sad to see him go but so happy that he made an impact on the boys. :)

Where is she?

Probably on the potty or pulling things out of drawers. Except in these pictures.  I forgot how much time learning to use the toilet takes. But, she only has a few months left to learn. The boys are big helpers and cheer her on-it is really cute.

Ice Age!

We're getting back in the swing of school.  Cedrik and Freddie both ask often if we are doing school the next day... I'm taking it as a compliment instead of feeling like I've been neglecting their learning.  They have been learning... Just not the formal learning they are used to.

Since it's winter, I thought it was an appropriate time to learn a little about the ice age. Of course the animals were the biggest hit.  Sabertooth tigers are the coolest thing in our house for the last week.  Funny story: I was working with freddie on colors and asked him which color I was pointing to.  He responded, "black, green, yellow, sabertooth." It was red. :)

We painted on ice and watched a documentary that they requested to watch again-very surprising.  Painting on the ice turned into painting on skin. They both loved it.

Cedrik informed me that in his mind, he has different ways of seeing school.  Coloring, painting, cutting, etc-work. Writing, reading, math, memorizing things-learning. Pretending-just fun.  I need to write that on the fridge so I'll remember his order. Freddie is opposite, I think. ;)

Colorado Wedding

Eloise and I made a quick trip to Colorado two weekends ago for Spencer and Bethany's wedding.  I was so grateful to go.  We flew in Friday night and left Sunday afternoon.

She didn't know what to think Friday night.  It was a long afternoon but she was so wonderful on the plane.  I see why people take strollers. If i have to fly again while pregnant, I'll make sure I bring one.

Saturday morning started early.  Dad made breakfast for Spence, wheezy and me. Then I ironed Dudo's shirt.  Mom and I took off for flowers and the cake.  We made it up to the cabin quickly and decorated with flowers and candles. We both thought it looked fantastic. Hopefully the couple did too.

People arrived, ceremony, delicious cake, pictures and then we headed back to town for dinner at PF Chang's. Eloise held on all day, but near the end of dinner she was done and ready to leave.

Sunday we spent the morning chatting and they played with Eloise. She loves Papa. (Grandma too, but papa is a favorite)
