The Wedding Weekend

Our wedding was such a wonderful day for us. There were so many people, who traveled a very long way to see us for just one day.
I think I'll just post a couple of "highlights" from the weekend:

All of the kids behaved.
BeaBea danced for the photographer and managed to not put her paws on the pretty white dress.
My shoes may have gotten more compliments than I did!
Jordan was the most handsome man there.
Papa sang for us, twice.
The cake truffles were a complete hit.
The electricity went out after the wedding while we were at Tim and Donna's for dinner/presents--so we had to bring out all of the candles.

The Couch

Beatrice and her father have so many charictaristics in common. They are both hairy, stubborn and loving. Lately, they are in love with our couch. Jordan picked out our couch over a month ago, and he made one rule with it. Beatrice is not allowed on the green couch: "She is allowed on all other furniture but I want to keep one piece hair free for company!"

In rebellion Beatrice decides to hide under the couch. While underneath she enjoys the dust bunnies and her BeaBea sized ball. Then she gets stuck and has to be pulled out--this has been happening for the past few days.

Maybe it is to show her father that she is still a small dog who can fit into tiny places, even though she looks big with her long hair. Maybe she's just making herself more dirty so he'll bathe her again.

8 days left

We have 8 days until the "big" day.

People will be arriving from Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Iowa and Canada on Thursday and Friday. Everytime I sit and think about the people who are taking time out of their busy lives to come and support Jordan and me, it makes me so happy. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family who will travel so far just for one day of celebration.

I cannot wait to see everyone--some people I haven't seen in 2 years--and almost all of these people Jordan has only heard about! It will be nice for both families to interact, we are going to have a very diverse crowd of people.

Tomorrow we'll be attending Kyle and Justine's wedding. We cannot wait. Jordan's work was planning for him to be in Pocatello for the whole weekend, but now he is able to come with me to their wedding AND teach his final primary class (I hope the boys behave for him. But as Sam (in Jordan's class) said last week: "I don't know what it is, but it's like when Brother Porter is here, we just behave" *shruggs shoulders*).

On Wednesday afternoon we were able to go and get our marriage license. Then we met with the Bishop who gave us some great advice that I think we both took to heart. 8 days and counting....

Harvard LDS Girl

I was able to watch this video (which I took from Amanda's [my boss' wife] blog). I found it very interesting and decided to post it.

This video is of a 20 year old LDS girl who attends Harvard. She, along with people from other faiths, are asked questions about their religions and are given a chance to explain what they believe in.

After watching her, and watching the others, I can tell that she may be the only one who truly believes in what she says. I also think she is asked much tougher questions than the others but she shines. I hope anyone who watches this will enjoy!

Bea's Bad Attitude

I was working from home today when I decided I should probably take a picture of Beabea. I found her sleeping in her bed (surprise) and asked her to sit up and smile pretty so when she's old she can remember how beautiful she was. This is what she had to offer:

I still can't tell if she had a bad attitude or if she was going for a glamour shot. She refuses to speak to me.

Sunday School

This past weekend Jordan had to work on Sunday as well as Saturday. He asked me to teach his primary class. The actual teaching part of the lesson lasted about 20 minutes. But, before class, during sacrament meeting, Porter made a drawing of Jordan and I. Enjoy! (I have the long hair and dress)

(Oh, and the faces above are not our unborn children as I assumed, they are just happy people.)
