A Week Away

The boys went to Colorado for the week. Mom and Warren took the week off of work to be with them. We drove to Evanston on Saturday and swapped the boys for a dresser (for the boys'room).

We ate breakfast at a place named Jody's-pretty good for a diner. :) We said goodbye (I, of course, was anxious but tried really hard not to show it).

Jordan and I spent the weekend back in Logan and drive home late Monday. We had fun playing games Saturday night at Chari's house. Sunday we went to church-without kids! Eloise was a pill. Oh well. We played games later that night.

On Monday we got to spend more time with Carla and even had doughnuts. We also went to bernina to pick out a baby blanket. Lots of fun.

The week was spent cleaning, reading, taking care if Eloise.

The boys got to do so many fun things. Mowing the lawn-twice, riding bikes and scooters, eating, eating, eating, throwing hail balls, cleaning the yard, swimming, helping neighbors clean their yard, racing, playing with the people on the street, playing basketball, watching the train every day, weedeater-ing, leaf blowing.

We are so glad they had fun, and so glad they are home. :)

Cedrik turned 4. He probably shouldn't be this old yet. But he is and I'm coming to terms with it.

Jordan and I took him on a date for his birthday. We went bowling! He loves bowling on the wii and with a little wooden set we have so we thought it would be fun to go to the next step and try the real thing. We ALL loved it!

Cedrik did pretty well, the ball only got sick twice in the gutter. During his turn the bumpers came up and when he was done they slid back down so Jordan and I had a harder time! ;)

We ate grilled cheese sandwiches, fruit and French fries and that came with arcade passes. So, when we were done bowling we headed upstairs to the arcade. With the tickets he won, he We a few pieces of candy and two bracelets, he shared with Freddie. We had so much fun with him.

Cedrik and I made his cake-strawberry with strawberry frosting. He has been excited about this cake for months.

On his birthday he opened presents and we had Jen, Emma and Andrew over for breakfast. We ate crepes and the kids played for a few hours. We also watched Lucas all day and Cedrik loved feeding him and both boys loved playing with him.

We ate at Casa Mexico for dinner (rice and beans was his request for the second year). Then Dad and Donna came over for cake and they brought Hartley along. The kids played and ran around during the sugar rush. :)

Things to remember about Cedrik at age 4:

He has the best manners. He is always polite saying please and thank you, may I, etc.
He can write his name
He knows all 13 Articles of Faith
His favorite song is I Feel My Saviors Love
He loves riding his bike and he is quick!
Favorite books: Caps for Sale, any and all Elsa Beskow books
He is helpful-loading and unloading the dishwasher, doing the trash cans each week without fail, grabbing diapers, getting clothes for Freddie
He loves to meditate
He has the memory of an elephant.... No joke or exaggeration
He does well knowing his limits and time frame for things-he dislikes surprises and never ending things, he needs to know the transitions
He feels all of his emotions intensely, his love bursts out of him.
