Colorado 2016

The three oldest kids got to spend almost a week with Grandma and Papa Smith all to themselves. They loved it. They want to live there. We met in Evanston and swam and watched the olympics until everyone was too tired to stay awake any longer. They rode bikes, played astronauts, played at the cabin, rode gator carts, washed trucks, played in the rocks and dirt, swam, ate a lot of yummy things (according to Freddie) and were good kids. They had so much fun. Mimi was sick almost the whole time they were gone and she was seriously miserable. It was sad. When we picked the kids up we shot the potato gun, which is hilariously funny, rode around on the gator cart. We ate s'mores, saw hummingbirds and added pictures to our inaturalist app. We got to eat caroli's in Fort Collins which I am still craving. Spence and I had a massive water fight in the pool. Both boys basically taught themselves to swim. I love that children learn things on their own. It's so awesome. On the way back home we stopped at Bear Lake and hurt our feet trying to climb over millions of tiny shells to get to the water. Next year, we need to spend at least one day at Bear Lake. The cousins in Utah had fun seeing each other for a day before we had to head home and prepare for our next trip.

Zoo

Andrew went out of town and planned a week of fun things for Chari and the kids to do. One day he took us all to the zoo and to lunch. The kids had fun and Chari and I had fun too.
