Swinging

It's Easter weekend and we are in Utah. Having lots of fun. Today Jara had the huge Easter egg hunt at her house, followed by dinner. Freddie didn't care too much about the eggs, he just wanted to wander in the street. Good thing for small towns! Cedrik totally understood but wanted to open the eggs as he went. He finally got the hang of it and found a ton! Freddie talked Grandpa and Jordan into swinging him. He almost fell asleep.

Fredward

Freddie is a cute guy. He absolutely loves food. I have yet to find something he won't eat. Mushrooms, onions, fruit of all kinds, crumbs on the floor, day old cake crumbs on the floor (yes, i know that is gross). He usually eats his helping, some or most of Cedrik's and a lot of times will demand more.  He knows the sign for more, eat and milk, but refuses to use them. Instead he lets out this "moan-yell." We are pretty tired of it. I think he and i have an invisible teather attached to us because he literally follows me around without even thinking. I can go around in circles, he is right behind me. He babbles and says "choo-choo" and one day said airplane perfectly, and hadn't repeated it since. He wants to be a big kid and tries to "help" Cedrik play. Which usually just frustrates Cedrik. They laugh together every night before bed. Oh, and he finally realized what hitting is. Lovely!

Daredevil

Cedrik is getting pretty courageous at the park. He goes down the huge tunnel slides by himself and wants to climb everything.

He is hilarious.  Lately he says "Mama, what's your good idea?" So I say something random. Then he says "MYYY good idea issss....lawnmower and leafblower and weedeater!" Over and over and over. All day long.  His "new good idea" is "I love you Dearest." We are kind of reading Little Lord Fauntleroy, it is a chapter book with few pictures and the boys name is Cedric. "Dearest" comes from that book; Jordan gave him the idea. I LOVE when he says it.

Building a Birdhouse

Cedrik wanted to play in the garage today after we stopped at the train depot to see the steam engine that is there.  He wanted to build a birdhouse.  Jordan wanted a project, so he said ok and they were in the garage for quite awhile.  I later found out Cedrik rode his bike the whole time.  Oh well. At least we finally have a place for our birdseed. Jordan used the scrap wood we had lying in the garage. I think it is cute!
