Caps For Sale

We read Caps For Sale almost every day. Cedrik decided he wanted to start balancing books (caps) on his head and Freddie, of course decided that was a good idea too.

Two-Seven

Today has been the best birthday. :)

Jordan made smoothies this morning (his are truly the best ever). I was greeted to a 10 minute version of Happy Birthday when I came downstairs. Opened gifts (I got a Himilayan salt lamp-so awesome, and some silicone baking sheets.). I also received some nice cards.

We went on a hike with Craig, Maryn, Allie and Charlie. Cedrik ran the whole way to keep up with the kids. Half way through the hike we found a swing on a tree. Perfect resting spot.  The rest of the day Cedrik and Freddie pretended to be Charlie and Allie, you can imagine who Jordan and I had to be.

We had sandwiches at Blue Sky and ate outside-the boys were wonderful during lunch.

We spent an hour daydreaming of leasing a new car. ;)

Jordan made dinner, bbq pizza (I am in love with trader joes bbq sauce). He then made molten lava cakes-completely amazing. Dad and Donna came over for cake and Grandpa played with the boys during their sugar rush.

It was a really wonderful night.

Goals for year 27:
-show love for Jordan even more :)
-be in the moment with my kids
-develop my Spiritual gifts
-get homeschooling in order

Ummm...

I had no idea what this post should be called.

Freddie gets to make breakfast with me on Monday mornings. Usually he chooses cereal and that really isn't picture worthy. I managed to talk him into muffins this week. He had so much fun and ate so much batter.

We went with Jordan on a couple of drives this week. On one of them they fell asleep in the same position, with eyes cracked open and mouths open too. They are hilarious.

I made jackfruit tacos. Our mouths loved them, our stmoachs did not.

Eloise has insane crazy, mad-scientist, piano prodigy/virtuoso hair every time she wakes up. At least she is still adorable. :)

Cedrik made a book for his friend, Emma called There Was a Monster. It ate her, then spit her up because she was too big for his stomach. Then she went home to her mom and played in her sandbox. The monster went home too. :)

Freddie drew frozen (meaning, he asked me to draw different characters). He loves the snow monster.

Random Russia Week

Cedrik and Freddie love to play with this little girl who lives across the street, Addison. She happens to be the topic of a lot of conversations (she also happens to be an only child and quite bossy-but they adore her).

She tried hard to teach Fred how to peddle. She hasn't tried again since that day. ;)

My friend Julia came over and we made some black drawing salve. It also happened to stain my le creuset spatulas. Very sad. I guess now they are my concoction spatulas.

Cedrik and I made zucchini bread and it was really good.

We went to the Russian food festival on Friday. So, we learned about Russia on Thursday. We learned a song with our fingers (it was the names of father, mother, brother, sister and baby in Russian). Then I drew faces on their fingers and we sang the song....a lot of times.

Cedrik styled Eloise's hair and then took a picture of her. His hair looked nice for a minute. You can see what it became by the time 1130 rolled around in the picture beneath it. We ate so much good food. Crepes with homemade cottage cheese (my second favorite), peroshkies, these fried potato quesadilla-esque things that were yummy, baklava (which Cedrik loves to say, and was my favorite) and honey cakes (the boys'favorite). We had just read The Children of Hat Cottage that morning and they love to pretend to eat the honey cakes at the end of the book. So, they were super excited to get their own.

Cedrik thinks playing soccer with his shirt off and tucked in his pants is really cool.

Eloise decided to remake herself: she now sits up, rolls and army crawls anywhere she likes. She is also sporting a new smile... That she came up with all on her own.  L.O.V.E. H.E.R.
