Fox Reception

We decided to make our way out to Colorado for Spencer and Bethany's reception. It was a quick trip.

Cedrik drove out (a 14 hour trip that should be 11) with TF and Donna. Opa and my uncle Joel also rode with them. They all said he did really well. He played the kindle quite a bit from what I heard and even got a fancy ice drink from Starbucks.

Freddie was really disappointed he didn't get to go with them. BUT he did get to eat about 6 cups of raspberries. Jara's raspberries were ripe and she happily kept picking handfuls for Freddie. He couldn't eat them fast enough! It was really nice.

That night we got to watch Grandma and Chari remove 5 bats that had gotten into the fireplace. Pretty funny to watch!

We drove to Colorado and when we got in I helped make salads for the reception and Jordan hung out with the guys in the garage and held Marie.

My grandpa showed up and we were all so happy to see each other. He loves his great-grandkids. We ordered pizza for dinner since it had been a long day for everyone. We woke up early, got ready and mom headed to the reception venue to decorate. She did a wonderful job. The reception was nice and I had fun seeing people I haven't seen in years and introducing Jordan to some family he hasn't met before. I even had a chance to talk to Spencer and Bethany-more than I thought. There's always so many people to talk to at receptions. They also asked me to give a toast and I did get a couple of laughs-I must have said a few funny things.

That night was dinner at Mom and Warren's and more time with family. It was another long day. We left early the next morning and drove to Utah. We played some hilarious games that night and drove home early the next morning. It was a really fast trip. I'm so glad Jordan drove us to Colorado. I love him.

Chunky Cheeky Marie, Bowling....

And green drink.

We went bowling with Craig and Maryn one night. The boys had a blast and they beat me! We're planning to go back again soon.

Green drink is always a big success. I'm glad the Eloise loves it too.

Marie is the cutest. We love her cheeks. She loves my voice and face.

Don and Fred

Exactly 75 years separate these two in age. They are kindred spirits.

Long Time, No See

The Peterson's were visiting Boise for about 24 hours. If they hadn't gotten sick, they would have stayed longer.

They came over for breakfast and Adrienne made pancakes with raspberry purée-yum! The kids played in and out all morning and Bryant (thankfully!) watched and entertained them. It allowed Adrienne and I to talk. It's always so nice to see her face to face, although it always feels like no time has passed. She stays gorgeous, the kids get bigger, but we all get along. :)

She gave us books and clothing-the clothes are a huge hit with the boys and Freddie really wants to be just a little bigger so he can wear the cool shirts. Their favorite book so far out of the newest additions to our collection is Nobody Rides the Unicorn.

The Book of Cedrik & Freddie

And it came to pass...that Cedrik got snap circuits for his birthday. This has been entertaining us daily for a few weeks. Jordan loves putting things together and this is the first time a "puzzle" type of project has been engaging.

And then... Freddie learned to climb the tree. When he is determined, he makes sure it gets done. He tried for a couple of days and then there he was. So proud of himself. He hasn't learned to get back down on his own yet so he has had to sit in the tree for awhile before I could get out to him.

Eloise is my constant companion these days. She sings to us all day long. We three girls do quite well together.
