Storage Bins

I have seen this idea on so many blogs.  Then I found an extra one in our garage.  It was a huge success.  First, we used it to paint a mirror, with water colors.  It did work and I thought looked really cool.  I REALLY need to buy real paints...any suggestions??

Then we went out back and played in the dirt.  Cedrik was so excited to be outside.  I'm so glad it's finally nice enough to be outside for longer than 10 minutes (I heartily--is that the correct adjective?--dislike the cold).  The next day we played outside too.  Cedrik put his own boots on, on the wrong feet.  We kicked around his little soccer ball, watched airplanes, he spotted a cat in our window (???) and he got dirt everywhere.  Later that night Jordan asked me if I knew that it was manure, not dirt.  No, I didn't.  We have ceased playing in the manure which delights me in more ways than one.  After the first night there was a huge centipede that somehow climbed in it.  Ew, Ew, Ew.  I'm pretty no one has died from a little manure on their faces (and it isn't fresh!), but still.  I'm glad Jordan spoke up. What a wonderful husband!

At least he's happy!

Visitors? For Real?

Yes, we had visitors.  Steve, Carla and Colby came up last weekend and stayed the night on Saturday.  We had fun going to Goody's and Carla loves to drive around and look at all the nice houses Boise has to offer.  Steve and I met with my Dad to discuss a way to become financially independent that totally makes sense and is something I think every Latter-Day Saint should at least listen to.  The principles are amazing.

Cedrik had fun with Papa and Baba and Popo (--whisper--Colby)

Chili Cook-off

Our ward had a chili cook-off last weekend.  It seems this is an annual thing.  There is a woman in the ward...I will not name names...who stated that she had won the prior two years and would probably win again this year.  I told Jordan that I would like to win instead.  I got second place!  The winner was an older man who has probably been perfecting his chili for years.  I was very happy, and Jordan insisted we get a picture of me with my prizes.

Fort Days are Messy Days

One day last week, it was cold.  Too cold to go outside.  So we stayed in and made a fort.  As well as making a fort we trashed the house.  Cedrik was in heaven because we didn't pick anything up until the end of the day.  I almost went nuts, but kept my cool through the messiness.  Another perk...I learned 21month old boys think they have a cool mom when she builds a fort.  AND I remembered how cool forts really are.

It was way cooler than it looks in this last picture.  Cedrik started tearing it down before I remembered to get the camera out.  Next time I'll get better pictures.
