I'm in the beginning stages of changing our homeschool. I'll post more about it when I have a firmer grasp of where i hope it will go. For now we are focusing on being outside and reading really great books.
This week we have focused on reading our "new" books. Favorites are: Each Peach Pear Plum, Otis, Caps for Sale, Blueberries for Sal and Freddie has me read Little Blue Truck over and over every day.... Although, he can recite almost all of it to me.
Eloise is such a sweet little girl. She rolls around the floor and gets herself stuck. Once behind the curtains and once behind the rocking chair. Then she'll scream. But once she's helped she calms down quickly. Her favorite "toy"is the wipes bag. She gets really sad when it's taken away.
I made lotion this week. Exciting stuff. I also made our own shampoo. Fun.
We have played outside every day. One morning we went to a park. Cedrik was complaining it was cold. When we got home he was running a fever (great mom moment). He fell asleep from 11:15-about 1 and then stayed in bed and fell back asleep until after 3. Then he fell asleep again at dinner. It was a weird day. Cedrik wanted to snuggle a lot...I loved it.
Then Freddie caught it the next day. Same thing, fever, sleeping. His broke pretty easily. Jordan feels bad for Cedrik when he's sick because he is so tough about it. I feel sorry for both but poor baby Freddie. His sad face melts my heart.
My grandpa spent the afternoon with us on Thursday. It was a nice afternoon. I learned he played the organ in his church when he was 10. He watched the boys ride bikes and they love him.
Jordan's parents are in town for the recital this weekend. Big plans: trader joes, bagels, whole foods, quilt shop, Mexican food, goodys, recital, New shoes for carla. I don't know if we'll get it all done!
