Cedrik and Freddie love to play with this little girl who lives across the street, Addison. She happens to be the topic of a lot of conversations (she also happens to be an only child and quite bossy-but they adore her).
She tried hard to teach Fred how to peddle. She hasn't tried again since that day. ;)
My friend Julia came over and we made some black drawing salve. It also happened to stain my le creuset spatulas. Very sad. I guess now they are my concoction spatulas.
Cedrik and I made zucchini bread and it was really good.
We went to the Russian food festival on Friday. So, we learned about Russia on Thursday. We learned a song with our fingers (it was the names of father, mother, brother, sister and baby in Russian). Then I drew faces on their fingers and we sang the song....a lot of times.
Cedrik styled Eloise's hair and then took a picture of her. His hair looked nice for a minute. You can see what it became by the time 1130 rolled around in the picture beneath it. We ate so much good food. Crepes with homemade cottage cheese (my second favorite), peroshkies, these fried potato quesadilla-esque things that were yummy, baklava (which Cedrik loves to say, and was my favorite) and honey cakes (the boys'favorite). We had just read The Children of Hat Cottage that morning and they love to pretend to eat the honey cakes at the end of the book. So, they were super excited to get their own.
Cedrik thinks playing soccer with his shirt off and tucked in his pants is really cool.
Eloise decided to remake herself: she now sits up, rolls and army crawls anywhere she likes. She is also sporting a new smile... That she came up with all on her own. L.O.V.E. H.E.R.
