3 Years...and Counting

Jordan and I celebrated our three year anniversary last week.  I love celebrations and I pretty much made the entire week a celebration.  On our actual anniversary we ate West Side--yumm--and went to Goody's (We tried to make a dinner, but it didn't turn out so we tossed it and went out instead.).  I had been planning to take Jordan on a secret date for quite awhile.  He never guessed where we were going.  He didn't even guess it once the blind fold was taken off.  It wasn't until I told him that we were going to "look at our eternities" (cheesy, but true) that he finally guessed it.  We went to Bruno Sand Dunes Observatory.  A man, Irwin Horowitz, gave an hour long presentation about Mars.  There were a few things Jordan didn't know, many things I didn't know and only a tiny part of the presentation was dull.  Big Plus!  Jordan loves space.  He loves watching documentaries on it and reading about it.  I had no idea until this night just how much information he has stored in his head about space.  He will definitely be taking over teaching the kids astronomy.  He loves it and I loved learning something new about him.  He is the most amazing husband and we both wonder what other relationships must be like since we seem to have found the best person to be married too.  How can they be happier than we are?  I hope there are people who are as happy as we are.

If you do decide to go to the observatory (It is pretty cool), leave the kids, unless you have a nursing baby.  It was way too late to take Cedrik (he had his first sleep over at Grandpa and Grammy Fox's house) and I don't think little kids would get much out of it--or know how to look into the telescopes to really see anything.  The youngest we saw were about 6.  Oh, and leave the light up shoes at home. :)

It really isn't pretty out there.

Freddie slept almost the whole time.
