Papa Smith

Papa Smith is Grandpa Extraordinaire

He let Freddie solder.
He offered to let Cedrik, but he declined.
He held Eloise and kissed her anytime she asked.
He answered almost 1,000 questions.
He got the kids to help with every project.
They enjoyed helping with every project.
Cedrik crawled in the crawl space.
Freddie declined and then was sad he didn't experience it.
They got 3 bags of chocolate for crawling under the crawl space.
They had pancakes or muffins each morning Papa was here.
They used a drill for hours.
They hammered for hours.
They hauled nails to the trash-and fought over who got to get the next one.
They didn't cry for three days.
Let me repeat: they didn't cry for three days.
We miss him.

Grandma Smith

I think Grandma Smith is going to want to sleep for a week after her trip here.

She barely stopped moving, unless it was to hold the baby, or read a book to the kids. Food, groceries, errands, playing outside, playing games, laundry, cleaning, books, dessert, changing diapers, taking kids to the bathroom, nap time, new bed for wheezy, new bike for Cedrik, light fixtures for Jordan and my birthdays. It was so helpful. And the help was needed. I think I'm ready to get back to finding our regular routine... but, now Dad is here until Saturday. So, I guess I get to wait a little longer. Our little  "Marie bubble" isn't ending quite yet and I'm appreciative of that.

Update

My mom has been here. Here are some Marie photos.
