Snowplows

We studied Katy and the Big Snow quite a few weeks ago. I had planned the snowplow trip with that, but it actually snowed! We rescheduled and finally got to go see them. The boys were in love with it. I asked a lot of questions; Cedrik asked a few and the driver, Jay, was very impressed with him. They were able to blow the horn, see the plow move up and down and learned all about salt and sand, and how high they drive the plow. It was really fun! 

Dress Up

At Chari's one day the kids decided to play dress up. She only has girl dress up clothes so it was rather funny. Eloise was gifted some hand-me-downs and she's loving them.

Stopping By Woods

Some homeschooling weeks are slower than others. I appreciate the flexibility. We read Robert Frost's Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. The boys and I memorized it in a couple of days. We had snowflake pancakes and tea, learned a little about poetry and the boys created their own poems, learned a little about Robert Frost and we revisited New England. I'm sure math and reading were also thrown in.
